Eric Bakhshi

Eric Bakhshi is a Seattle-based storyteller, filmmaker, and independent children’s author with nearly three decades of experience in writing, animation, and cinematic storytelling.
His creative journey began in 1995, inspired by his brother’s work in sound and directing, which led Eric to co-create his first international horror film, Here is the End of the World (2003). After formal training in directing and filmmaking, he moved to Seattle in 2011, where he expanded his work into animation and later returned to live-action narrative filmmaking.
Alongside film, Eric writes and publishes children’s picture books in English — with Spanish editions for select titles — inspired by his son’s encouragement to share his stories with other children. His works emphasize kindness, cleverness, bravery, friendship, and emotional warmth, often told through charming animal characters.
He also writes and composes original children’s songs and produces animated story videos available on his YouTube channel
