Mission Statement
“MY EYES” is a story about empathy, accessibility, and the quiet power of human connection.
It honors blind and low-vision individuals and embraces queer communities with respect and care.
Some people live in darkness and still see more than we ever could.
A story of two strangers who cross paths at the darkest moment in their lives.
MY EYES is an intimate drama about connection, loss, and the quiet light that appears when one human voice reaches another. Eric, withdrawn after losing his life partner, moves through his days in silence and numbness, quietly shutting the world out. Sara, a blind woman living with her own fears and loneliness, carries a strength and sensitivity that many people never fully see. One night, a simple call on a volunteer app brings them together. What begins as a small request becomes a rare moment of honesty where two lonely people finally feel heard.
This film is not about miracles and it is not about sudden love
It is about the moment when a stranger becomes the voice you need exactly where and when you need it and how that single connection can make the path ahead just a little brighter.

Welcome to my official website
I’m Eric Bakhshi / writer and director.
A storyteller with more than twenty years of experience. My children’s books are published on Amazon, including The Hungry Bear and the Sweetest Friendship along with two other titles created for young readers.
I also run the YouTube channel Pinemacaron, where I make educational and animated content for children. The channel has grown to over 490,000 subscribers and remains one of my favorite ways to bring stories to life.
Filmmaking is where all of my experience comes together. MY EYES is a personal project shaped by real moments and a deep belief in empathy and human connection.
Why This Film
Grief, loneliness, and unspoken memories can make life feel impossibly heavy. MY EYES shows how a single moment of human connection can pierce
that darkness, even for someone who thought they were done feeling anything at all.

Why Now?
What This Film Is About
In a world where real human connection is fading behind screens, MY EYES reminds us how a single phone call can become a lifeline. This story explores empathy, accessibility and the quiet power of being present for another human being.
Representation and Community
MY EYES is grounded in two communities that are often unseen:
the LGBTQ+ community, and blind or low-vision individuals who move through a world not designed for them.
Eric is a queer man grieving the loss of his life partner, a love the world did not always acknowledge.
Sara lives with her own kind of darkness, navigating life with strength most people never notice.
Both are human, vulnerable and real.
Why This Story Matters
Supporting MY EYES means supporting a space where people can finally feel seen.
Sometimes one honest conversation between two strangers can break years of silence and loneliness.
That moment is the heart of this film.

Director’s Statement — MY EYES
“Tomorrow is promised to no one not the old, nor the young.”
Today might be the last time we see the ones we love.
So we must speak what lies in our hearts, and act upon what we truly believe.
And if my heart carried wounds today,
I would write my anger upon the ice, and fix my gaze upon the rising sun.
MY EYES is a tribute to a small, fragile, yet unforgettable moment
to those who fight darkness every single day,
yet still carry a light within themselves.
This film is about seeing
not with the eyes, but with the heart.
